Frisket

Frisket woke up around 5:30 a.m. CDT, but decided to doze around till 7:00 or so. Then she walked epc around the near north side to Michigan avenue but was upset to see the stores weren't open yet. @ 3:01:14 PM  •

Frisket lost another baby tooth this morning...this has been going on for the past week. Generally not a big deal except that everything she gums today has a little crimson spot on it @ 12:36:05 PM  •  

The countdown to Frisket across America starts today. Frisket has requested that we drive her to Illinois in July. It just happens that I'm from Illinois and Lisa has to attend an intro class at UIUC as well. All coincidental, we're only doing the drive because Frisket has requested it, not because Ed still has issues about flying or anything else. @ 8:59:37 AM  •  

Frisket update

Frisket got to frolic in the mud at the dog-run on Wednesday. She spent Thursday mainly dozing in the air conditioned bedroom, with occasional walks outside (these usually consisted of her demanding to be taken outside, once on the stoop realizing how muggy and hot it was, and finally demanding to be let back into the air conditioned bedroom). This evening she demanded to watch a show featuring a greased gnome. I'm not sure how the show got onto the Tivo, obviously she's much more adept with the remote that we thought. @ 11:18:01 PM  •

Frisket walked us over to the dog run today. We entered with a cream colored golden retriever and left with a somewhat brown-black golden retriever. She did not enjoy her shower afterwards. @ 10:14:09 PM  •

Frisket just did this really cute thing on her walk tonight...a moth (or some other creature of the dark) was floating along about 2 feet off the ground, just behind Frisket. She didn't see the moth, but saw its shadow instead and promptly chased after the shadow. This continued on for about 5 seconds/20 feet (or about as long as Frisket seems to focus on any one thing), ending in utter confusion as the shadow merged into a larger shadow and didn't emerge. @ 11:03:03 PM  •

Just to keep up to date...Frisket spent the day today at Monster Mutt. I (epc) walked her over and got there just as they opened at 8:00. She was pretty good...though I'm waiting to get stopped by the Animal Precinct police on reports of a man dragging an adorable puppy along Hicks street.

Frisket will spend the day Thursday with Lisa at home, followed by an evening road trip out to Amagansett. She'll get to spend the weekend playing with Coco and her new friend (we hope) Spike. (Pete: She won't eat Spike. Honest.) e.p.c. @ 12:04:47 AM  •
